The length really depends on the individual’s preferences, i.e., where does she want her glasses to lay on her chest when not wearing them. Some people prefer higher positions because if the chain is too long the glasses swing and knock into everything. Also, a person’s size is a factor. We’d say anywhere from 13 to 18 inches is most common. Hint: take a tape measure and wrap it around your neck, look in the mirror, decide what length you like best, and go for it.
